John 15:26 (NIV) says, “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me.”
In this verse, Paraclete is the New Testament Greek word translated to Advocate. The meaning in the original language is so diverse that it is also often translated as Helper, Counselor, or Intercessor…
If we’re completely honest with ourselves, sometimes in life we can be so eager for God to reveal Himself in and through what we are doing that we forget that He wants to work and reveal Himself even more than we want Him to. Maybe we forget the Holy Spirit is our Advocate, Counselor, Helper, and Intercessor… So how would your approach in life shift if you remembered this?

There’s no need to try and coerce the Holy Spirit into working through us, using us, or revealing Himself through what we put our hands to. Instead, when we realize the Holy Spirit longs to reveal God’s presence to people and testify about Jesus we can be free to simply partner with Him. The Holy Spirit is our greatest ally when it comes to ushering in God’s manifest presence. What an amazing ally we have!
PRAYER (Pray this out loud)
Lord, I thank You that You reveal Yourself. Would You use me to help usher in Your tangible presence to people, places, and situations. I pray that I would remember that Your Holy Spirit is my greatest ally, not only in this, but in all areas of life. Thank You for the amazing gift of Your presence, may I become more and more aware of You all my days. Amen.
