Through the Eyes of Job

Through the eyes of Job, we see a unique perspective on life and worship.

We may or may not relate to the level of Job’s suffering, but we can all relate to it as a reality of life.

Psalm 34:18 (NIV) says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Though it is one of those highly-avoided subjects, what if suffering was a keyhole in the door to a life of worship?

SELAH (Pause, think, reflect)

After all Job’s suffering, after all his wrestling, the Lord finally answered him; and it’s not what we’d expect. God didn’t explain why his suffering happened, but He did reveal himself to Job through it.

After this Job prayed, “My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.” (Job 42:5)

We may not always get the answers for the why behind our suffering, but we can always worship. In the good, God is heard, but in our pain, God is seen.PRAYER (Pray this out loud)
Lord, help me to have faith like Job. Regardless of what I may face, give me resolve to worship you at all times and at all costs. Give me ears that not only hear of you, but eyes that have seen you. Amen.

“We may not always get the answers for the why behind our suffering, but we can always worship.”
