Who the Son sets free is free indeed.
As Christians, we usually understand this concept when it comes to the idea of freedom from something… Freedom from sin, shame, or guilt. Christ has set us free from these things.
But what if we also remembered all that Christ has set us free for?
SELAH (Pause, think, reflect)
Scripture says, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” Galatians 5:1 NIV
Through the incredible power of the cross and resurrection we have experienced freedom from sin and death, guilt and shame, but we also now have the amazing opportunity to live freely for God. We are free for… kingdom purposes, living a life that honors God, being a blessing to those around us, outworking our calling, and so much more.
Who the Son sets free is free indeed.
PRAYER (Pray this out loud)
Lord, thank You for reminding me of the incredible freedom that I have in You. I pray that I would use my freedom in You to honor You and to be a blessing to all those around me. Help me never forget the wonder of the cross and the power of Your resurrection. In Jesus’ name, amen.
“Who the Son sets free is free indeed.”
