Did you know that God has given you grace upon grace?
John 1:16 (ESV) says, “For from His fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”
God’s grace is present in our lives in more ways than we tend to even notice or realize. Think about the breath in your lungs or the beauty of a new day. If we have eyes to see, God’s grace toward us is everywhere.
So why does the grace of God become commonplace to us? Why is it that we become familiar with God’s blessings or even take His grace for granted?
SELAH (Pause, think, reflect)
God has poured His grace upon you. There are so many blessings in your life that if you stirred your heart to remember all of them, you would be counting forever.
Remember today that in the common and ordinary, God’s grace is present. And most of all in Jesus, who is not at all common or ordinary, we have received even more grace, the ultimate grace. Grace upon grace. God’s grace is upon your life, don’t neglect it or take it for granted.
PRAYER (Pray this out loud)
Lord, help me remember Your grace that You have freely given. Thank You for the breath in my lungs. You showed me grace before I even knew You. Thank You, most importantly for Jesus and the grace that I have received because of His sacrifice. Amen.
“God’s grace is upon your life, don’t neglect it or take it for granted.”
