Luke 6:43-44a ESV says, “For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, for each tree is known by its own fruit.”
Each tree is known by the type of fruit that it produces. The theme of bearing fruit runs throughout the Bible and its consideration begs the question for our lives, “What kind of fruit are you producing?”
SELAH (Pause, think, reflect)
Good fruit is simply the result of being connected to Jesus—He is after all the True Vine. When we remain connected to Him it produces an abundance of Kingdom fruit. But how do we connect with Him?
One way is prayer. Prayer ensures that your efforts yield the kind of eternal fruit that every follower of Jesus should yearn to produce, Kingdom fruit.
PRAYER (Pray this out loud)
Lord, thank You that I can come to You and speak freely. Thank You for hearing me and for also speaking to me. Help me connect to You often and let my life bear the fruit that comes from being with You. Amen.
“Prayer ensures that your efforts yield the kind of eternal fruit that every follower of Jesus should yearn to produce, Kingdom fruit.”
