2 Peter 1:3 (ESV) says, “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.”
Have you ever worried that you don’t have what it takes to accomplish God’s purposes for you? What would it look like to live knowing God has and will equip you for His calling for your life? If God’s power is made perfect in weakness, why do we constantly try to do things in our own strength? God is the one who has given us everything we need in life.
SELAH (Pause, think, reflect)
God is well-able to equip us for what He has called us to do. Your ability to achieve what God has called you to do isn’t based on what you can bring to the table, what you can accomplish or how hard you can work. These are important and have their role, but it is only after realizing that God equips us that we can continue in His work. Today, choose to remember this truth.
PRAYER (Pray this out loud)
Lord, today I choose to remember that You are the one that works within me. I know You have called me according to Your purposes, and that You are well-able to equip me for what You have called me to do. Give me grace when I forget this and try to work in my own strength. Thank You for Your goodness. Amen.
