A Living Legacy

The world is filled with memorials and monuments. We might think of different wonders of the ancient world, like the Pyramids of Giza or the Great Wall of China. Yet, different as they may be, all monuments have one thing in common. They exist to remind and teach us.

1 Chronicles 16:8-9 (NIV) says, “Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.”

Does your worship of God tell the story of who He is and what He has done?

SELAH (Pause, think, reflect)

Our worship of God can serve as a legacy for future generations.

Worship has an ability to inspire and impact both present and future generations with a reminder of all that God has done. May our worship stand as a testament; pointing to the power, goodness, and faithfulness of our God.

PRAYER (Pray this out loud)

Father, thank You that our worship can serve as a monument to Your greatness. May my life reflect Your goodness and inspire future generations to know and love You. Amen.

“Worship is a monument that reminds us of God.”
