In many ways, how we act reveals how we view God. If we truly believe what Scripture says, we will live by it and trust that God’s Word will prove true in our lives.
With that said, Proverbs 11:25 (NIV) says, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
What keeps you from giving your best away? Are you afraid you will be left completely spent or empty-handed?
SELAH (Pause, think, reflect)
Give your best away, and God will give you better.
Generosity is the nature of God. He always gives His best. The clearest proof of this is in the gift of Jesus. When we are generous we mirror our Creator.
Remember today that it is not about how much you have to give to those around you (time, effort, money) but about the heart in which you choose to give it. The generous prosper, so give your best away and God will give you better.
PRAYER (Pray this out loud)
Lord, help me be generous in every way. Teach me to be like You and show me that it is godly to bring my best every time. I pray that You would help me abandon fear when it comes to living a lifestyle of giving. Have my whole life, Lord, may it please You. Amen.
“Give your best away, and God will give you better.”
