Small Changes

Zechariah 4:10a (NLT) says, “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin…”

We might think of making changes in disciplines (like starting a diet or building healthy creative habits) as something to do at the start of a year, not toward the end, but what if making these small changes now could make all the difference in your life?

SELAH (Pause, think, reflect)

God loves to see the work begin. Let’s not wait for next year to get things right. Whether it’s tweaking a few notes in a song you’re writing, or how you approach your prayer life, sometimes it’s the smallest things that can make the biggest difference.

What if you approached every area of your life asking the question “Is there any way I can make this even just 1% or 2% better?”  It could make all the difference in the long run.

PRAYER (Pray this out loud)

Lord, thank You for the opportunity to change, grow, and constantly improve. Give me a heart and willingness to do what is needed to become the person You have called me to be. Help me see the areas of my life, my craft, and my calling that I can make better.

“Sometimes it’s the smallest things that can make the biggest difference.”
