It can be easy to set our sights on the “big” or seemingly important things ahead. But the encouraging (and important) thing to remember is that everything we do, whether big or small, can be done for the glory of God!
See what you do as an offering and a calling.
Colossians 3:17 (NIV) says, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Have you ever struggled to see your day-to-day life as something to be done for God? It can be difficult to have a larger perspective in the ordinary. But what if you considered today that whatever you are doing could be an offering before God?
God’s Word says that whatever we do should be done in the name of the Lord. Is that your present reality?
SELAH (Pause, think, reflect)
Remember this, God is faithful, even when we fail to be. You have a day full of opportunities ahead of you and His new mercies are for you. We can take all of our ordinary acts done in Jesus’ name and make them an offering to God, for His glory. Nothing is too big or too small to be done for the glory of God!
PRAYER (Pray this out loud)
Lord, I thank You for today. I thank You that You use what I do as an offering before You. Remind me to seize every opportunity I am presented with today. Help me to be faithful to what You have called me to. I pray that as I am faithful in what is before me that You would work in everything that I do–all for the glory of your name. Amen.
“I see what I do as an offering and my calling.”
